In 2018, Curtiss was living and working the US as a wind turbine blade repair technician. For six weeks at a time, Curtiss would be stationed in various states where he would carry out his work as a repairman. Living out of rural motels with little to do in his immediate surroundings, Curtiss would take his rental truck across state during standby days, with the intentions of make pictures.
